GREEN TURTLE - (Chelonia mydas)

Moso Island, Vanuatu. Approx. 15 mtrs. depth.

Taken during a turtle awareness course with Tranquility Dive, highly recommended for those wanting to know more about these endangered turtles. Easily distinguished from Hawksbill turtles by their beak shape and shell pattern. Thankfully we have a good population of these wonderful creatures here in Vanuatu and like the critically endangered Hawksbill Turtle we must do everything we can to protect them and their breeding sites.
